The tiny country of Andorra offers excellent skiing and snowboarding for all abilities. You’ll find it nestled on the border between Spain and France, within easy reach of several airports, although Barcelona and Toulouse are currently the most popular choices.
Andorra has two main ski areas which are Grandvalira and Vallnord, both of which cover several resorts so you’ll have a great range of skiing or snowboarding to choose from no matter where you stay! There’s also a wide range of activities available both on and off the slopes.
Grandvalira is the largest skiable area in the Pyrenees boasting 210km of linked pistes stretching across six resorts from Pas de la Casa by the French border across to Encamp close to the capital, Andorra la Vella.
Vallnord is a smaller area covering three villages, Arinsal, Pal & Ordino-Arcalis, and has 93km of runs. Although smaller, Vallnord still caters for all abilities with Arinsal famous for beginners having an excellent school, and Arcalis being locals’ favourite area.
